that format. I want to use Sony Vegas 8.0 or even if push comes to shove WMM…Can anyone help me? Either to change the settings on my cam so that it no longer produces mp4 or get my Vegas to accept MP4???

I’m just starting to take on photography, and I still have a lot of questions….

How do you get that look in a photo where the backround looks blurred and the main subject is in focus, creating an appealing contrast? What’s the best way to get that shot?

Are close-up shots of, like, eagles swooping down and catching fish one in a million or just the product of high zoom?

What’s the difference between those stylish, modern-looking metalic grey digital cameras that are 1/2 inches thick and big, bulky cameras with lenses that shoot out 5 inches? I’ve been too sport gatherings and seen big events, and the professional photographers seem to have those plain, bulky looking cameras with tons of buttons. Are they better?

Also, if I don’t have $20,000 to buy really good and professional equipment, how can I start a career, or for that matter, catch really good photos? My digital camera just seems to capture plain, average photos, even when I can see a better picture in my head

photography alaska
My Grandmother, Sister and I are going to Alaska and I am wanting to know who would be a better cruise line to take. My Grandmother has taken a cruise to Australia with Princess Cruises, and she loved the service and food. So we are considering going with them, but the also have alot of older people there, and they aren’t as kid friendly as Royal Caribbean is. Does Royal Caribbean have good food and service like Princess. Also I love Photography and Videography, so if any of you have tips or ideas of places to see or do, Please let me know

professional photography equipment
I am a semi-professional photographer.. looking where to find out more about lighting equipment, flash equipment ect.. I currently own a Nixon D60 camera and am wanting to take my pictures to that really professional looking level. I also own photoshop for Mac but need some help figuring it out..so any one there know where to find out more or know more from professional experience.. it would be greatly appreciated to help me start out! Thank you!
Where is a good website to look at equipment? Im looking at folding reflector discs and I dont even know where to start between gold, silver, sunlight, white ect.. what are each for and what are the best brands and types to go with for outside model and wedding shots?
professional photography equipment
I have been in the wedding video/photo business for over 10 years now, and I have NEVER see a professional photographer use anything other than Nikon or Canon. All of our equipment for photography is Canon (40D and 5D) with all L glass lenses, and all of our video equipment is Canon as well…GL2, XL2, etc…

PART 2 of my question is…are all these other companies that make professioanl DSLR’s out of luck forever? Like Sony’s Alpha, and FujiFilm’s Finepix, as well as Olympus, Kodak, and Minolta…do you think they only have a future in the home/amateur based market?
“wedding” media isn’t all we do…we do dorporate photography, school photo/video, etc…and everyone ther ealways has Nikon and Canon also. (usually Canon)
oops, i meant “corporate” not “dorporate”, lol
why would i need to know anything about medium format cameras?? you make $5,000 a weekend just shooting DSLR/35mm, then who cares. lol
LUCIEN - i guess what i really meant was artistic photography…wedding, portraits, glamour, nature, corporate, etc…not really medical imaging or crime scene phtography.
Michael M - i do agree. even Nikon lens owners are jealous of Canon “L” glass/lenses

All Quoizel Lighting on Sale!

Dec 27, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: home appliances

quoizel-lighting.jpgHave you ever heard of Quoizel lighting? Well, it is a famous brand name in lighting that had started its name in lighting industry since 1930. But that is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that all Quoizel lighting is now on sale. In the spirit of this holiday season, and for the sake of the big discounts, now might be the best time to get new lighting for our homes. They have from the classic and more traditional styles to the more modern and contemporary styles, so that every one will be happy. And I think that their designs are quite impressive, especially compared to the ones I own at homes, anyway. Now, besides me, who else is interested in shopping for new lighting?

Something about Bamboo Shades

Dec 27, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: homes

bamboo-shades.jpgDo you know that bamboo shades are not only made of bamboo, but are carefully constructed from beautiful wood, rattan, jute, grass & reeds? No matter what they are made of, they certainly will add some beautiful touch besides protecting us from the sometimes fierce sunlight. Besides coming in many rich textures and natural styles, bamboo blinds are environmentally sound and provide insulation against summer’s heat and winter’s cold. These types of shades are especially great if compared with the other types of shades and blinds that are most often than not look really rigid and formal, just like they use for office buildings.
